Lou Gramm Reveals What Helped Him 'Let Go' Of Grudge With Foreigner

Lou Gramm has long-expressed issues with his former band Foreigner, but the singer has learned to "let go" of his grudge following his participation in the band's "life-changing" Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction last year.

“Ever since (the induction) it felt like, personally, I had to find a way to let go of some of the things I’ve been holding onto for years — and, like the song says, let it be,” Gramm told Billboard in a new interview. “It’s a hackneyed sentiment, but it’s true — life’s too short… And a lot of the things that are blown up and made big deals about are easy enough to get over and humble yourself and reach out a little bit, ’cause what you’ve been mad about for the past 20 years is not a monumental thing.”

Gramm help found Foreigner in 1976 and sang some of the band's biggest hits, including "Feels Like The First Time" and "Cold As Ice" from Foreigner's self-titled debut in 1977, as well as "Hot Blooded" and "I Want to Know What Love Is." He first left the band in 1990 and returned in 1992 before leaving for good 10 years later.

He's temporarily reuniting with his old band during their upcoming South American tour after Foreigner's current singer Kelly Hansen announced he would be unable to tour with the band internationally due to "residency issues."
